If you have concerns about your child's development start by calling your local school district to refer your child for evaluation. The Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) include educators, administrators, psychologists, PTs, OTs, SLPs, and the child's parents. CPSE evaluations are conducted to create your child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). As part of the CPSE, you may request Milestones to complete the evaluation.
One Special Education Teacher is assigned to each preschool classroom, directly teaching and supporting special needs children throughout the day. Each Special Education Teacher plans for every child with special needs, modifying the general education curriculum and all activities to meet the childrens' needs and ensuring participation, learning, and progress on the Individual Learning Plan (IEP) goals.
Milestones' licensed therapists may provide Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services to your child, as outlined in their IEP.
Our nutritious menus are approved by the NYS Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). If your child has an allergy or sensitivity, we can accommodate children with dietary restrictions, including gluten free diets.
Bus transportation is provided by your county, or you may drop off and pick up your child at Little Lukes, where Milestones also operates. Choose from a center in Baldwinsville, Oswego, Fulton, and Dewitt.
Milestones operates an inclusion preschool program within Little Lukes Childcare Centers. Each center features a state-of-the-art security system and a door with security code access.
