• CPSE

Your school district's Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) can recommend your child to Milestones inclusion preschool program. The CPSE is a group of educators and administrators who create education plans for children with special needs.

  • Referral

To receive preschool special education services, your child must be referred to the CPSE and evaluated to determine eligibility. You may choose Milestones as your evaluation provider.

  • Education Plan

Next the CPSE creates an Individualized Education Program (IEP), a detailed plan of your child's goals and objectives and the necessary programs and services to meet those goals.

  • Transition from EI

Children in Early Intervention who are as young as 2 years 9 months may begin the transition from Early Intervention to Preschool Services. Milestones is an approved inclusion preschool provider and runs the program within Little Lukes Childcare Centers.

How to enroll my child

If your child has had a CPSE Evaluation, you may choose Milestones as your child's special education provider. If your child has not had a CPSE Evaluation, please contact your school district to request an evaluation. An evaluation is required for a child to be placed in a preschool special education and therapy program.
